Tree Packs

At Perrie Hale we have over 50 years of experience in growing and selling native Broadleaf’s and conifers.  We have used this experience to put together a range of tree packs which ensure that what you buy not only grows well, but fulfils your planting objectives.

Our packs include selected species which are suitable for the area in which you wish to plant and will create your required affect.  All plants are supplied bare rooted and therefore are only available during the planting season between October to April.  If planting outside of these months please see out pot-grown or Root trainer section.

Christmas tree Pack

Our Christmas tree packs include a mixture of 65% Norway Spruce and 3 other species such as Blue Spruce , Noble Fir, Nordman Fir and Silver Fir all of which help to provide variety in shape and colour. Trees should be planted at 2 metre centres.

Hedgerow Pack

Contains a mixture of native hedging plants of which 70% is Quickthorn, with the remaining 30% a mixture of Blackthorn, Dog Rose, Field Maple, Field Rose, Guelder Rose and Hazel.

Also includes an optional pack of hedgerow mix wild flower seed, which includes wild flowers and grasses that are tolerant of semi-shade and are suitable for sowing beneath newly planted or established hedges.  

Plants are 60/80cms high and come in packs of 100, 250, 500 or 1000. See our current price list.

For a thick hedge plant 5 plants to the metre in 2 double staggered rows.

Woodland Pack

Contains – a mixture of native broadleaf trees and shrubs including Ash, Silver Birch, Field Maple, Hazel , Oak and Sweet Chestnut, Spindle as well as an optional pack of meadow mixture wild flower seed.

Wet Woodland Pack

This pack contains a mixture of Alder, Ash, Downy Birch, Goat Willow, Hazel and Rowan.  It is ideal for planting in wet areas or next to streams or rivers. Plants come in packs of 100,250,500 or 1000 plants.

Wind Break Pack

Contains a mixture of plants which will create shelter and grow well in exposed or windy sites. Species include -
Ash, Beech, Grey Alder, Hawthorn, Silver Birch and Scots Pine.
Plant at 2.5 metre centres in staggered rows.

Coastal Pack

For areas subject to salt laden winds we can supply trees that will grow well in these conditions.  The pack contains Ash, Willow, Hawthorn, Blackthorn and Poplar.

Pot Grown Plants

We can supply a variety of pot grown hedging plants, conifers and broadleafs, such as Blackthorn, Box, Field Maple, Norway Spruce, Nordman Fir. Please ring to check availability.

 
   

Woodfuel Pack

This pack contains a variety of plant species suitable for producing woodfuels such as firewood and woodchip.  These include Ash, Birch, Sweet Chestnut and Hazel. 

We are happy to provide free advice for anyone thinking of starting a coppicing system.
